Whether it’s sports, business, our personal lives or virtually any other situation we find ourselves involved in, we always come to the point where we have the option to reflect back and figure out what went right, what went wrong and how we can do better. It’s part of the process of learning and there are times when we do better at that than others. 🙂

My personal epiphany regarding how we got here occurred back in ’09 when I personally witnessed those “changes” the author talks about in a lot of friends and family I knew back in my home town. Outright hostility and ignorance, not just a differing of opinion, but a complete disregard for reason or facts. And it was very public, no longer being hidden behind manners or private rooms. Quite literally I was seeing it right in my workplace from people walking in off the street. I didn’t know how to handle that. Hell, I still don’t. My reaction to it now is probably not ideal.
