So a bit over a month ago I saw a rash of postings of this meme. I got into a few arguments over it, in fact. Didn’t age too well, did it? For the record, the data on the left represents about 1 year, while the data on the right represents ~ 1 month(at the time)
Fast forward to today and we’re seeing variations on the same thing. It’s all political! They’re lying to you! It’s nothing to worry about! And my Mel Gibson favorite, “Freedom!”
Our politics and our media make it very hard to keep perspective on things, and our memories are horribly, horribly short when it’s convenient. This meme was 47 days ago.
Whether we should, or not, we’re effectively ending our national quarantine. Stay safe people.
