At my oldest niece’s graduation. I still vividly remember the day she was born. Listening to her class valedictorians speak, watching her grow up in the world around her and make the choices that she has, reaffirms my faith in next generation, and reminds me how much more work mine still has to do. @ Hobson, Montana
I chose the Shorter Whitman because of his work, "Song of Myself" and because of my self-deprecating sense of humor. I am under no illusion that I can write successful essays or poetry, but I have been known to write them anyway.
