The Dude continues abiding…
Wow what a disconnect from the average working person. Our commerce chief say’s he’s disappointed that those people who aren’t receiving a paycheck are not showing up for work. He says they should get a loan, even if it costs them a bit of interest…
800,000 people haven’t had a paycheck in a month and yet, many of them are still expected go to work. What’s more, El Presidente tells them he’s willing to shutdown things for as long as takes, even a year or more. Still, the Commerce chief says he sees no reason why the employees can’t get loans until then. Mind you, the commerce chief is a billionaire, his concept of liquidity is fundamentally different than somebody pulling down $50,000 a year. And he wonders why the banks aren’t tripping over each other to offer these employees money based on the promise of Uncle Sam…

I had to laugh at the Gillette commercial. Not because it wasn’t true, but because my personal ideas of masculinity generally involve not shaving…
