That’s roughly the same number we have deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan combined, where we’re fighting actual wars with enemy combatants…

Step up the rhetoric, double down on making those who don’t agree with you the enemy and act ever more aggressively to cow those who should be taking a stand. We know what this recipe makes. We’ve seen it before. Modern history is replete with the result. Well, we’re watching it live right now.
