Lot’s of things, but backlogged

Argh. You’d think I would get some writing done while being quarantined. The truth is that I could, I just haven’t. Lots of ideas floating around, some fleshed out and ready to be set down, others just percolating. My work isn’t affected by moving from the office to home, and sadly, I’ve definitely seen a slow down. No, I confess I’ve just been doing other things – but my mind is going crazy, demanding I put thoughts to keyboard.

Hmmm.

Well, nothing long winded tonight, but consider this. I came across a posting from an old co-worker of mine. He was warning everybody not to panic when the covid-19 numbers suddenly jump up in the next two weeks. That’s just the media trying to scare us because we can now test more than ever….

I may have done a face palm. Remember the posts a couple weeks back, calling this all a hoax and how the numbers prove it because they’re so low?(because among other things, we didn’t have enough tests) But now they’re going to be much higher. but that’s just proof that this is no big deal because we’re just testing more.

This may be one reason why I never keep a hammer or a loaded firearm near my desk.

I chose the Shorter Whitman because of his work, "Song of Myself" and because of my self-deprecating sense of humor. I am under no illusion that I can write successful essays or poetry, but I have been known to write them anyway.
